HOW FAR DO YOU TRAVEL TO EVENTS?

We love a good road trip. The VW PhotoBooth travels around the High Country area and within a 1.5 hour radius to events at no additional cost. Our area consists of Boone, Blowing Rock, Avery and Ashe counties and Asheville. If you’re curious about having this unique photo booth at your event outside of the High Country, contact us and we’ll prepare a custom quote.

CAN YOU DRIVE THE PHOTO BUS?

Yes, but we trailer the VW PhotoBooth to events. This takes a lot of the unpredictability of driving a vintage vehicle out of the equation and makes it more likely that we arrive safely and on schedule. Once unloaded, we need space to park the towing truck & trailer out of the way.

DO YOU RENT THE BUS FOR PHOTO SHOOTS?

Yes! We can bring the bus to a photo session to use as a prop. We always stay with the bus during the session and we can help get things just right. Contact us for pricing.

HOW MUCH CLEARANCE DO YOU NEED TO GET THE BUS INDOORS?

It’s fun to bring the VW inside! The PhotoBooth is 72″ wide, 90″ tall and 15’ long, so as long as we can fit in the door and get permission from the venue, we’re good to go. We can push the bus into place. And the VW does not leak oil!

HOW MUCH SPACE DO YOU NEED ONCE SET UP?

We ask for about a 10’x 20’ level space.

MAY WE COME SEE THE PHOTO BUS PRIOR TO AN EVENT?

Yes. Just let us know we’ll work something out.

CAN YOU PERSONALIZE THE PHOTOSTRIPS?

Yes! Whether it’s a wedding, birthday party, fundraiser or corporate event, we always create a custom design for each event. We’ll work with you prior to the event to make sure we find a design that works well. If you have artwork…great! If not, we’ll help you out with that.

DO YOU PRINT ON-SITE?

All of our packages include unlimited printing of high resolution photos on-site at no additional cost during rental hours. Each person who takes their picture in our photo booth gets a keepsake copy of their photo. We’ll make sure everyone who wants a copy gets one… even if lots of people cram in!

CAN YOU POST THE IMAGES TO FACEBOOK?

Yes! Just let us know and we can post to your page or create a new one.

CAN WE GET ELECTRONIC COPIES OF PHOTOS FOLLOWING THE EVENT?

Yes! Within 48 hours we will upload all the digital files to a private Dropbox folder we will share exclusively with our contact for the event. You will have full access to these pictures to download for your own personal use. We do not usually provide a copy of the pictures on a disc…but we can if you’d like us to.

DO YOU HAVE PROPS?

Yes! We have some general props; hats, silly sunglasses and a few other things… If you give us advanced notice we can tailor a custom prop package for your event.

WHAT KIND OF BACKDROPS ARE AVAILABLE?

We have a selection of 6 fun backdrops from which to choose. Check out our website to see photos. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, we can work with you to match a photo booth background with your theme & colors for a reasonable additional fee. You can also choose to have no backdrop and have the interior of the VW be the backdrop. This is our favorite because this way you can actually tell it’s a VW!

WHAT DO YOUR PACKAGES INCLUDE?

All of our packages include a custom photo-strip design, your choice of backdrops, unlimited high resolution photo-strip prints, and a friendly attendant or two to setup, tear down and make sure you and your guests have a great time!

WHEN DO YOU SET UP FOR AN EVENT?

Set-up will be complete around 30 minutes prior to your rental start time. Tear down will be complete within 30 minutes after your rental time ends.

WHAT YEAR IS THE PHOTO BUS?

Our Volkswagen Type 2 Transporter was made in Germany in 1977.

WHERE DID YOU GET THE BUS?

We found this bus in Atlanta, Georgia around Jan 1st 2016. We brought her back to North Carolina for restoration and her transformation into “Farrah” was completed in the Spring of 2016.

HOW DO I RESERVE THE VW PHOTO BUS?

The best way to make a reservation is to call us at 828-773-6423.
We’ll check to see if your date is available.
Next, we will work through the details of your event with you.
Once we settle on a plan, we’ll draw up a contact spelling out the details.
After we both sign the contract and your 50% deposit has been received your reservation is complete.
The remaining 50% is due 30 days prior to your event date.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

We are advocates of having a back-up plan (or two!). The VW PhotoBooth is equipped to operate in all weather conditions but it’s best to plan to have the bus under the cover of a tent or inside a building. If not that, at least adjacent to a tent or building. Having the bus near all of the action promotes more interaction and more fun will ensue. Depending on the venue and weather, we will be prepared to supply a small canopy or tent. For some events its best to rent a covered walkway.

WI-FI

Our VW Photobooth runs off Wi-Fi if available to email and share pictures online instantly. If Wi-Fi is not available, all pictures will be queued in our email and social networks until internet becomes available (within 48 hours after the event).

REFUNDS

All deposits are non-refundable.

If for some reason we are unable to make it to your event (i.e. mechanical issues) or we suffer technical issues that render the Photobooth inoperable you will be given a full refund.

We do not offer refunds on account of the weather. We always insist on having solid contingency plans in place so the weather should not be a show-stopper.

We’d be happy to work with your florist to decorate the bus to match your wedding or party theme.
